As part of our sustainability consulting, a comprehensive assessment of ESG aspects (Environmental, Social, and Governance) was carried out for the office property, along with an evaluation of the criteria set by the Taxonomy Regulation and Disclosure Regulation. In addition, a climate protection roadmap was developed, in which the current energy consumption and CO2 emissions of the property were recorded and compared with the CRREM pathway. Based on this, structural, operational, and building technology measures were identified that aim to achieve long-term climate neutrality.
Challenges
Due to the building’s relatively recent construction year and its already high existing standard, appropriate measures had to be identified to further improve quality while considering economic efficiency. The creation of several scenario analyses played a key role in demonstrating to the client the projected development of energy consumption and CO2 emissions based on different analyses. Through close collaboration with the client and our interdisciplinary team, consisting of sustainability experts and energy consultants, all project requirements were ideally implemented.
Added value
Based on our scenario analysis for achieving climate neutrality, as well as the additional recommendations for optimizations in the areas of E, S, and G, our client can implement their strategy to meet sustainability goals at the property level in the long term.
