The Baugenossenschaft Zuffenhausen (BGZ) is currently expanding its portfolio of around 2,000 flats very extensively through its own construction activities. In addition to some small residential construction projects, large projects with over 100 residential units each were in the pipeline at the time of our performance. The supervisory board of BGZ commissioned us to review the processes and organisation in the area of construction management.
Challenges
The challenge in this audit assignment was to shed light on all relevant aspects of project processing and identify any risks or potential for improvement with as little effort as possible.
Added value
We presented our assessment to the supervisory board in a transparent manner, showing in which areas the building cooperative is very well positioned and where there is potential for optimisation. In addition to the report to the supervisory board, we were in close contact with the board of directors during the entire project to ensure that our impulses fit the circumstances in the strategic and operative project business and can also be realised there. BGZ was able to implement some of the optimisation potential itself and some with our support.
