The centre for precision technology (Zentrum für Präzisionstechnik or ZPT) in Pforzheim offers local companies and start-ups space for cooperation and knowledge transfer on the campus of the college. We accompanied the project, which was comprehensively funded by the EU and the state of Baden-Württemberg, as a service developer from the recording of user requirements to completion and commissioning.
Challenges
The customised planning included a short construction period and tough cost targets, which had to be met despite the pandemic. Thanks to the project management with a general contractor in the design-and-build process, which was selected on the basis of a functional performance specification, the ambitious goals were achieved.

We were able to contribute our entire technical and commercial consulting expertise to this project. Throughout the entire duration of the project, all parties involved worked together in a spirit of partnership – this was the only way to achieve all the prerequisites for receiving the extensive funding.
