Residential portfolio, Leinfelden-Echterdingen

The city of Leinfelden-Echterdingen's housing is provided especially for low-income households and should be refurbished or expanded accordingly in a cost - efficient manner. In order to meet the requirements of climate neutrality, additional measures for CO₂ reduction and compensation must be taken into account. Since almost all units in the residential portfolio are occupied, possible rotation areas were included in the overall strategy.

The proposed refurbishment measures can reduce the energy demand of the existing portfolio by up to 47 %, which can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 73 %. The selective demolition of existing buildings enables the addition of new buildings to the existing stock and thus an efficient redensification. Taking into account the time frame, a concept for the project implementation and organisational form was also created.
